Bob currently leads R&D teams for Arkema’s Plexiglas® PMMA product line, responsible for new development in Solarkote® capstock technologies for building and construction applications, Elium® liquid thermoplastic composites for renewable energy and transportation applications and Plexiglas® Sheet for aerospace, security and signage markets. In previous roles at Arkema, Bob developed the Plexiglas® RnewTM biopolymer alloys and led the commercial and business development on the use of Arkema’s Nanostrength block copolymers for thermoset toughening. He received his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006 working in Dr. Francesco Stellacci’s group on directed assembly of ligand-coated gold nanoparticles into electronic devices. In 2002, Bob received his Bachelors of Science and Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
